Summer Library Program
The staff of member libraries share ideas and materials to develop quality programs that encourage children to enjoy reading during the summer.
DVDs
Nearly 1,200 DVD movies and educational titles are available to system members through the Orland Free Library's collection. Feature films, travel, instructional, PBS, and children's titles are in this collection. You may order them through your local library if the library participates in this program. Your suggestions for new purchases are welcomed.
CDs
Compact discs are available through the Plumas County Library. Search their online catalog for audio books and music titles. They may be loaned to you on request. An impressive collection of over 4,000 music CDs and 1,200 recorded books on CD titles are part of their collection. Be sure to limit your search to location: Listen In to get only CDs.

Services
Reference Services
When the resources are not available at your local library to answer your questions, the staff may refer them to the System Reference Center. The System Reference Librarian researches questions using local libraries, state and national resources, and numerous online databases. Questions that cannot be answered at this level may be referred to other appropriate information providers.
Delivery Services
NSCLS coordinates the delivery of library materials between public and academic libraries in the North State area. Touch points provide delivery to the Mountain Valley Library System and the North Bay Cooperative Library System.
